What is Snappy Daemon?

Snappy is a software deployment and package management system developed by Canonical for the Linux operating system. The packages, called snaps, and the tool for using them, snapd, work across a range of Linux distributions allowing distribution-agnostic upstream software packaging.

What is Problem?

The problem is when you try restarting your device it shows:
[FAILED] Failed to start Snappy daemon,
See 'systemct1 status snapd.service' for details,

Why Snappy Daemon not working?

There is not any official clarification regarding this type of issue. But after the research I made, I came to the conclusion that this type of problem is not faced by all users, instead of that such problems are being faced only due to broken packages or by some corrupted packages that user might have installed without even knowing about their consequences on the device.

So what to do now? Don't worry here is the simple solution for your problem...


Solution

Before proceeding further all users can try these easy steps:
  • Try upgrading Ubuntu to latest version as if some broken packages caused this, then it will be recovered automatically
  • Try repairing with Ubuntu live CD or OS booted USB
  • Try system troubleshooting if your device supports it.
If these primary solutions don't work for you, then you can try this solution which must work for you:

Permanent Solution:

If above solutions don't work for you, then you have to reinstall Ubuntu on your device as there are not many solutions discovered for this problem. I am sorry to say this, but I myself once faced similar problem and after trying a lot of methods and wasting time, what I finally find that nothing worked. I was only left with single solution i.e. reinstalling UBUNTU for solving Snappy Daemon problem. 
But before doing so make sure that you have backed up all your important data present in the device as after doing so you will get nothing in your device except OS and its files installed.
I don't want to misguide you from any useless method to follow as there is not any particular solution for this problem, but still I am working to find its solution and when I found it i will let you know.
